bonfire nights.

It's true, the change from Summer to Fall brings out a completely different side to living by the ocean. It allows for you to wander the shores in a sweater and roast marshmallows over a bonfire, all the while gazing out into the water's abyss. It's going to be the first time in a LONG time that I get to experience this glory. Although some of my phrases might sound cliche, Planet blue's got it right and I can't wait to partake!

I've been dreaming of a cardigan just like this one, one that is cozy, warm and reaches the floor...

Wow! It's been awhile since I did an outfit post and man does it feel good! I spent last weekend in the woods...relaxing, sipping coffee, taking dips in the hot tub, drinking wine, doing puzzles, laughing with family. The weekend turned interesting after taking a fall on a rock (maybe I'm not cut out for the woods!) but overall it was a couple days of pleasure and fun, great scenery and peace. 

I have absolutely fallen in love with peplums. Everywhere I go I scout out my next one. They are so girly and pretty and beautiful in so many ways. I love the feeling I get when I put one on...nothing else compares!

day 2.

 

So this is a preview of day 2 (see day 1 here) on my goal to create a new original look from recycled items in my wardrobe (meaning I have never paired the items together in an outfit before). I didn't give myself a number of how many looks per week but just kind of wanted to see where it took me. Last week I actually surprised myself and didn't re-wear any previous looks. It really showed me how much creativity you can have with your closet and how little you need to spend on new items to create that fresh and inspired look...
