If I could time travel, I'd of course go back and live the life of a flower child...a wild child. This outfit sums up my passion for all things bohemian. I love how even in black and white the pattern on this shirt is fabulous. The thing I love about Fall is not only the extensive layering that happens everyday, but the combo of colors that all seem to work so well together. Nowadays you can pair bright with dull, yellow with pink etc. etc., but in the Fall, even a basic brown can pop, paired with some ivory and blue perhaps? Have a lovely Monday!

A day spent in red pants and Isabel Marant styled booties is a day that is going to be well spent...a day where the possibilities are endless and all your dreams will come true, my kinda day.

Wow! It's been awhile since I did an outfit post and man does it feel good! I spent last weekend in the woods...relaxing, sipping coffee, taking dips in the hot tub, drinking wine, doing puzzles, laughing with family. The weekend turned interesting after taking a fall on a rock (maybe I'm not cut out for the woods!) but overall it was a couple days of pleasure and fun, great scenery and peace. 

I have absolutely fallen in love with peplums. Everywhere I go I scout out my next one. They are so girly and pretty and beautiful in so many ways. I love the feeling I get when I put one on...nothing else compares!

day 2.

 

So this is a preview of day 2 (see day 1 here) on my goal to create a new original look from recycled items in my wardrobe (meaning I have never paired the items together in an outfit before). I didn't give myself a number of how many looks per week but just kind of wanted to see where it took me. Last week I actually surprised myself and didn't re-wear any previous looks. It really showed me how much creativity you can have with your closet and how little you need to spend on new items to create that fresh and inspired look...

 Brisk weather calls for layers upon layers and I tend to be the best at this! Nothing beats a perfect mini with an over-sized vest and this silk piece has been a staple in my closet ever since I received it from Indah Clothing. The possibilities are endless and that is truly what I look for in all my clothing.

Autumn means trading all my sundresses, cut-offs and crop-tops for some good old denim and sweaters. This year I'm able to start the fall off right with one of my favorite trends of the moment, printed denim! It's so very bitter sweet saying goodbye to Summer, hoping still for that one last beach day. However, I am beyond psyched to layer into my wardrobe this one-of-a-kind (really not 2 are the same!) washed-out croc printed skinny...yes these pants are pretty cool.

It is perfect for those end of the Summer breezy days paired with some denim cut-offs and even more perfect, for those cool end of the Summer nights paired with some fabulous colored denim. Pardon my absence but things have been a bit hectic and I haven't had time for regular outfit posts so here is a random pic taken a couple days ago which never made it on instagram. Green+Blue has been a favorite color combo of mine as of late as well as turning tunics a bit shorter, a stylish knot always does the trick...who said the eighties were totally gone?

Never in my life have I gotten so many compliments on an item I am wearing! So thank you Spool 72 for sending me these fabulous shorts...that look a bit like a skirt but give you the freedom to move easily and comfortably. Having just sported them on Nantucket, compliment 99 came from a boho gal much like myself and I was ecstatic to make her day and steer her over to one of my favorite online shops...more to come from the closets of Spool!
